Soay (pronounced So-way) sheep are one the most ancient breeds in Britain, from the Hebrides. They are one of our native rare breeds that remains most physically similar to wild ancestors of domestic sheep, the mouflon. They are a category 4 at risk rare-breed and so require farms around the country to raise these beautiful animals in order to stimulate the popularity of the breed.
